A classic style detached house on a wide residential tree lined road in the Southern suburbs of Cape Town for location hire.

Available for both stills and film.

Sitting on a 1200 sq mt plot with a well established mature, sunny garden that is adaptable and very easily dressed to give you the look you’re after – from a large outdoor scenario to an intimate terraced feel. It’s a solid, double storey brick built house with a tiled roof and steel casement windows. A full exterior renovation has been completed with a top to toe repaint in a slightly warm pale grey to give it a more contemporary look without distracting from the traditional feel. The large sunny front garden has had the walled raised to give more privacy and is laid mostly to lawn with surrounding planted out flowerbeds with nothing too African so it translates very easily into a European look, an American one or indeed anywhere else you’d like it to be. The fence separating the lawn from the driveway comes out for access. The front patio area and raised entrance way have been re-laid with neutral coloured stone pavers.

Access is through a 5 meter wide solid timber sliding gate with a paved driveway leading to a double garage. ~ perfect for prop storage or the monitor set up. The extremely helpful sports club opposite acts as your base camp (fees arranged direct) with full facilities for catering, wardrobe & talent. With masses of parking space for all your vehicles and transport trucks ~ therefore eliminating any potential on street parking problems.  However, the verge directly in front of the house is wide enough to take a genny truck if needs be, thus saving on some cable bashing.

Internally, the house has Oregon pine parquet flooring and has been redecorated white throughout giving you a blank canvas to work from for set dressing. Need to change the colour? No problem. Just put it back to white again for the next shoot. The rear garden is now a fully paved patio area with a lapa covered seating area. The Salt Water pool has sandstone copings with an EasiGrass area at one end.

Most things, both inside and out can be moved, be they flowerpots, pictures or pieces of furniture. And, in the case of a very fun shoot for a Dutch insurance company, guttering, downpipes and a bush that was successfully replanted and thriving. We’ve even had a 3 metre hole excavated on the front lawn for one shoot.

Anything is possible ~ Just ask.

The property has the huge advantage of a borehole keeping the garden watered and green.
